I am dedicated about ensuring that every individual get fair access to justice and have understanding of their legal rights as Canadian citizens. I am committed to ongoing learning , development, and making a positive impact on the society and profession.

My bachelors major concentration in Criminology requires a lot of research. Every course has about one research paper. It provides opportunities to explore complex social events, and statistical data about crime. I have been taking these classes that requires extensive research using academic resources. For example, in recent research paper on Mumbai attacks. I conducted a broad research using UFV database. This process improved my ability to identify credible data and assemble it into a research paper.
Planning has been an integral part of my business coursework. In BUS 100 group project required our group to develop business strategies for a selected company. I took over the main planning role. I coordinated research phase, and dedicated team roles to make sure all the work was completed on time. This experience allowed me to develop research and planning skills.
Research and Planning Skills
Business 100 Presentation
Creative thinking is the foundation of my professional life. When I started my job as an accounts manager with on-route Transport Ltd, I looked at my job as completely transactional, managing client-company relationships. However, soon, I realized that true success can be achieved by pushing beyond our boundaries and implementing creative strategies. At first, I followed the rules like I was expected to do but when my company faced a situation with one of our biggest clients, at that time I ditched traditional problem-solving techniques and dug deep into the problem to figure out what was the root cause of the problem and what solution client exactly needed. I discussed with my team members and researched how other companies dealt with this kind of situation. This approach led to a new creative solution that fixed the problem. This scenario changed how I looked at the problems. This led to a change in my workplace. My role is more than just managing accounts. I can plan and help solve problems even before they arise.
Creative Thinking
Interpersonal Skills and Human Resources, Communication
BUS 100 group project was a crash course in group dynamics. In the starting, it felt difficult managing people with distinct personalities. All four of us had different communication styles, some of us preferred texts over phone calls, couple of them were not comfortable with public speaking. It was hard dealing with the differences but it required patience, active listening, and respectful interactions. I learned to adapt my communication style to make everyone feel comfortable. There were times when we had disagreements over project work but I took charge and I mediated. We ultimately found solutions that solved everyone's concern. We assigned tasks to everyone considering their strengths. For example, one of us was good at visuals so he handled power point development, one was good at research so she handled content for the project. This experience made me realize that how important communication is in team setting. Along with this BUS 100 provided me skills that I carry with me in my personal as well as professional life. It taught me strong interpersonal skills are vital for effective collaboration.
